Dr. Christopher Emuemukoro is a visionary business leader, entrepreneur, and doctoral scholar whose career spans over 28 years of enterprise leadership and strategic industry engagement across Nigeria’s energy and industrial sectors. As Group Chief Executive Officer of OCI Group, he leads the strategic direction of a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning oil & gas services, marine logistics, real estate development, agriculture, hospitality, and technology innovation.

Under his leadership, OCI Group is evolving into an integrated industrial ecosystem delivering solutions across the energy and infrastructure value chain while expanding its footprint within Nigeria’s emerging industrial economy.

He combines entrepreneurial foresight, academic depth, and operational leadership, positioning OCI Group to play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s industrial transformation and energy services landscape.

He holds:

From Rivers State University.

His doctoral research titled:
“Psychological Safety and Employee Voice: A Case Study of Oil and Gas Companies in South-South Nigeria.” explores leadership culture, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness within complex energy-sector environments.

To further strengthen his global leadership exposure, he completed executive programmes at two of the world’s leading business schools:

Professional Career and Industry Experience

He began his professional career in the oil and gas sector where he developed strong expertise in Finance, contract management, offshore operations, and energy services logistics.

West African Oilfield Services Ltd
Contracts Manager / Contract Liaison (1997 – 2008)
During this period, he managed several major offshore service contracts and worked closely with legal teams and regulatory stakeholders in contract negotiation and compliance.

Key contracts with Shell Petroleum. Development company of Nigeria now ( Renaissance) under his oversight included:

  • Contract S12811 – Provision of Heavy Marine Services.
  • Contract S11058 – Provision of Offshore Supply Vessels.
  • Contract E13909 – Pipeline integrated services in seasonal flooded areas of Kolo creek, Adibawa etc.
  • Contract for the provision of Four (4) 4 × 4 cranes at Forcados and Bonny Terminal
  • Contract for various land rig movement for Sedco Forex etc.

These experiences provided him with extensive exposure to:

2010 – Present: Expansion of group operations into real estate, agriculture, hospitality, and technology sectors.

2024 – 2025:  Completed the Senior Management Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
