Project Overview

The project involved the back coating of an installed split tee on the 24-inch Trans-Niger Pipeline (TNP) following maintenance and repair intervention. The installation process required removal of the existing external coating at the weld joints and adjacent pipe sections, thereby exposing bare metal surfaces vulnerable to corrosion.

This method involves the installation of split tee fittings around the affected pipeline area, followed by the application of a strong back coating system. The coating acts as a protective and structural layer, sealing the surface against corrosion, mechanical stress, and environmental exposure.

KEY FEATURES

1.     Non-Intrusive Repair: Eliminates the need for cutting or replacing pipe sections.

2.     Corrosion Resistance: The strong back coating provides long-lasting protection against corrosion and chemical exposure.

3.     Enhanced Structural Integrity: The split tee reinforces the pipeline, ensuring safe pressure containment.

4.     Minimal Downtime: Repair operations can be performed under live conditions, reducing operational disruption.

5.     Applicable to Various Pipeline Sizes and Materials.

We combine advanced pipeline rehabilitation technologies with industry-approved materials to ensure durability, safety, and reliability of every repair. Our team of certified engineers and technicians ensures all procedures meet international standards.
